My Magic Plus - How it Works
Common Questions Regarding Disney World Vacations:
No, the Disney Magical Express does not cost anything as long as you are staying at a Disney property and fly into the Orlando International airport. When flying out of Rockford, you fly into Sanford. Disney's Magical Express does not pick up from the Sanford airport, only Orlando International. Private transfers are available, and can run up to $75 each way, depending on how many people are in your party.
The value Disney resort properties are often times priced just as good, if not better than staying off Disney. Some added bonuses to staying at a Disney resort are: Magical Express pickup, no charge for parking, and Extra Magic Hours at Disney parks.
Overall, the Disney dining plans are well worth the cost. When you take into consideration that buying food at Disney is about the equivalent of buying food at a major league baseball game, you will soon realize that the dining packages are a good value. Disney has flexible dining plans to fit your needs and budget: the Quick Service dining plan, the Standard dining plan, or the Deluxe dining plan.
To be honest, yes. The first few days worth of tickets are pricey, but if you purchase more than 4 days worth of tickets, the price does drop quite drastically. For example: The cost of a 5 day ticket vs. a 4 day ticket is only $8 more per adult.
A base ticket grants you admission to one park, per day. The park hopper option grants you admission to multiple parks on any given day. Please watch this video for more information about the ticket choices at Disney parks.
There are 4 parks at Disney World in Florida: Magic Kingdom (featuring the new Fantasyland), Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, as well as two water parks: Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. (Water parks are not automatically included in park hopper tickets but it is very cheap to add the water park option.) There are 2 parks at Disneyland in California: Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park (featuring the new Cars Land). Universal Studios is NOT part of Disney. If you would like to visit Universal Studios during your Disney vacation, you can purchase a ticket and Universal will provide transportation to and from Disney. This can only be done through a travel agent.
